Dennis Canfield joins the Minnesota Mallards as IGM and Interim Head Coach with over 15 years of experience at the junior hockey level.  Prior to joining the Mallards Mr. Canfield was with the New Jersey Titans where he spent the past year as the Director of Scouting & Assistant GM. A goaltender by trade, Canfield played NCAA Division II college hockey at St. Anselm College before turning professional with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL in 2006. Canfield also had stops with Fayetteville and Knoxville in the SPHL.

Canfield earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio.  While in college Canfield was a coach for Little Caesars AAA program and the Toledo Ice Diggers of the NAHL.

Since 2007 Canfield has coached in the USPHL and NA3HL while also scouting in the BCHL for the Vernon Vipers.  He was also an NCAA DIII Assistant Coach for Buffalo State College.
