Tyler, a Laflin, PA native, comes to the Mallards having served as Scout for the WB/Scranton Knights in the NCDC during the 2023-24 season and the Maine Nordiques of the NAHL during the 2022-2023 season.

Prior to his role as NCDC Scout, Tyler skated 48 games over three seasons at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.

Before his college career began, he spent the 2017-18 season with the New Hampshire Avalanche in the EHL, the 2016-17 season with the Binghamton Jr Senators of the NA3HL, the 2015-16 season with the Portland Jr Pirates 18U team in the USPHL, and thee 2014-15 season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights in the MetJHL.
